Designs, at A Cube Inc., is an attempt to look at furniture not only as a mere sitting arrangement, but also, through its diverse forms and textures, as individual sculptural entities. It is an attempt to look at furniture through a conceptual vision. An attempt to touch the senses through a combination of curved and linear forms - through a combination of contrasting surface textures and materials to form a single entity.

Touch is one of the most important and primitive means of sensory perception. It is through a touch that one often forms an opinion of an object. An object has to be felt, not only be seen. In designing this furniture range, we at A Cube Inc, have attempted to encompass this thought by instilling various textures and contours in each design. It is our attempt to give the user this experience of touch through serendipity.

Joinery has a special place in the construction of furniture. Life of furniture is highly dependent upon the solidity of its structural design. Joinery in our furniture holds a very important place and wherever applicable special nail less joinery system has been introduced to enhance furniture aesthetics and increased longevity.

Special care has been taken in choosing the right materials as well as the right quality of materials for each piece. Teak wood used in the furniture is reclaimed teak – reclaimed from demolished old houses and factories. Our reclaimed teak has been in use for at least 50 years to 70 years and above! Wine matures with age, and so does teak. It is the age that makes this material special as it has gone through a natural seasoning process, thus reducing its moisture contents to a bare minimum resulting in an exponential diminution of warping and bending.
