Lamp  20 x 20 is a result of the studio’s endeavor to design sculptural forms that holds light rather than emit – a kind of light that when turned on makes the ambiance soothing and provides a calming – almost a therapeutic, spatial experience.

To bring this quality of repose in the product experience, water – an element associated with tranquillity – was used as an inspiration and used it in place of fire (light) – its antithetic element. The design fuses functionality of a paper lantern with the transcendental quality of water to create hybrid vessels that were traditionally used as water containers, to store light!
